Acoustic Eidolon – Joe Scott and Hannah Alkire, otherwise known as “Acoustic Eidolon,” return for another evening of enriching, uplifting music of their own special blend, “world music for the soul.” This tour features their 12th CD titled “A Tree Finds Its Voice”, inspired by their two new matched instruments, guitar and cello, carved from the same pieces of wood. Fans of Queen, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Alison Kraus, Tommy Emmanuel, Yo Yo Ma, Turtle Island String Quartet, Chet Atkins, or Doyle Dykes will recognize selections on this CD. Seating in the intimate Edith Wood Studio theatre is extremely limited, reserve early!
NOTE: At this time, access to the Edith B. Wood Studio is limited and you must be able climb stairs to the 2nd floor. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and hope to have an elevator someday!

NIETF presents the 5th Annual Theatrepalooza Free Theatre Festival
    Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2-4:30 pm
Theatre Northwest at Indiana University Northwest (located in the Arts and Sciences building on the campus of IUN/IvyTech on Broadway at 35th Avenue, Gary)

Theatrepalooza features an afternoon of free theatrical entertainment presented by theatres across Northwest Indiana. Short excerpts of comedies, dramas, musicals, improv, Shakespeare, reader's theatre, and so much more.

Did you know there are more than 20 theatres in Northwest Indiana. You don't have to travel to Chicago to experience exceptional live theatre. It's right here, just around the corner, and it features your neighbor, your nurse, your teacher, your administrative assistant, your lawyer, and your contractor.

Be sure to visit the booths in the lobby before or after the show in order to learn more about what each theatre offers including volunteer opportunities, classes, auditions, upcoming shows, and special events.

This program is presented free of charge thanks to a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission and South Shore Arts.
