Tapping into his vast repertoire of jazz, bossa nova, soul, Latin, classic 50s, 60s, & 70s, as well as traditional Spanish and flamenco, this performance will feature Peter’s original solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements from his CDs “Sepia Session” and “South Shore Soul.” Building on the legacy of guitarists such as Laurindo Almeida and Charlie Byrd, Peter Aglinskas infuses his music with elements from the contemporary worlds of jazz, funk and rock, with technique firmly rooted in the classical music tradition.  Recipient of the Chicago Cultural Department’s “Artists International” Award, Peter Aglinskas has been delighting audiences for more than three decades with his signature guitar style.

This program is presented free of charge thanks to a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission and South Shore Arts.
