August 6 & 13, 2020 – “Disney’s Moana Jr” presented by Seedlings Theatre Company of Hobart, IN. Performed by actors all under the age of 18, this live musical follows the beloved movie tale of a young girl’s quest to save her village and learn important life lessons along the way. Presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

Park Plays takes place at 6:30 pm on Thursday evenings at Indiana Dunes State Park. There is no fee for the performance, however, the State Park per car entry fee still applies. Patrons are encouraged to pack a picnic, grab a blanket or beach chairs, and join in the free family entertainment. Performances last 45 minutes to one hour and in case of inclement weather are held at one of the park’s shelters. Follow the signs in the park.

In light of COVID-19 and Governor Holcomb’s social distancing recommendations, guests are asked to please maintain six feet of distance between their party and neighboring guests, wear masks, wash hands frequently, and use hand sanitizer.

Park Plays is made possible by the support of the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency; National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency; South Shore Arts; Indiana Department of Natural Resources; Indiana Dunes Tourism; and GreatNews.Life. Without these partners, we would not be able to offer this extraordinary access to live theatre and entertainment.

In place of the annual NIETF gala, we are hosting an online reception. Many of you often comment that your favorite part of the gala is getting to see everyone that you don't get to all year through. We want to make that happen, just virtually this year instead of in person.
BYOB, dress up in gala finery or casual it up in comfy couch attire, or even dress in costume, we just want to see you there!
There'll be some fun activities and time to talk and catch up with all your friends and theatre family. We'll recognize some accomplishments and honor those we've lost this past year. It will truly be a time of community.
It'll all happen on Zoom so you'll be able to attend from anywhere.
Tickets are $10. When you purchase, you'll see you can select from any of our member theatres or NIETF. Your $10 will go straight to the theatre you choose. Want to support several, you can buy multiple tickets. But one link is all you’ll need to access the event, no matter how many are participating from your location.
