Peter & The Wolf: A Musical Symphony For All Ages

Peter & The Wolf: A Musical Symphony For All Ages

Performances At 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM On Wednesday, May 23, 2018

Celebrate Chamber Music Month with an end of the school year field trip to Peter & The Wolf: A Musical Symphony For All Ages presented by the South Shore Orchestra in collaboration with the Memorial Opera House’s youth program, the LimeLIghts.
This engaging 45 minute multi-media performance will introduce each of the instrumental voices of Peter and his fellow characters, familiarizing students with their distinctive and unique instrumental sounds. Your students will leave with music in their hearts, and a story to recount, retell and remember for years to come. Students will be given a token of remembrance from the experience.

    Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2-4:30 pm
Theatre Northwest at Indiana University Northwest (located in the Arts and Sciences building on the campus of IUN/IvyTech on Broadway at 35th Avenue, Gary)

Theatrepalooza features an afternoon of free theatrical entertainment presented by theatres across Northwest Indiana. Short excerpts of comedies, dramas, musicals, improv, Shakespeare, reader's theatre, and so much more.

Did you know there are more than 20 theatres in Northwest Indiana. You don't have to travel to Chicago to experience exceptional live theatre. It's right here, just around the corner, and it features your neighbor, your nurse, your teacher, your administrative assistant, your lawyer, and your contractor.

Be sure to visit the booths in the lobby before or after the show in order to learn more about what each theatre offers including volunteer opportunities, classes, auditions, upcoming shows, and special events.

This program is presented free of charge thanks to a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission and South Shore Arts.
