    Christmas Favorite to Return
4th Street Theater in Chesterton proudly presents Grant Fitch in the Charles Dickens holiday classic “A Christmas Carol.” This family favorite kicks of the holiday season on Saturday, November 24th at 7pm.
Grant Fitch, an award winning local actor and professional storyteller will perform his one-man version of the Dickens tale for one performance only on the 4th Street stage. Now in his 21st year of performing this timeless story, Fitch brings all the characters vividly to life. Meet the loveable Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim, as well as the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge along with Marley’s Ghost and the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Even if you’re familiar with the many screen versions, Fitch includes scenes from the original novella rarely depicted on film.
Grant first developed his text for “A Christmas Carol” in 1997, and it has grown in performance with each passing year. It was the first story of many; he is today a professional storyteller, bringing picture books and silly stories to school kids, and giving dramatic readings of the works of authors from Mark Twain to Edgar Allan Poe. He has been acting on area stages nearly as long as he’s been storytelling. He has starred in, among others, “The Foreigner.” “My Fair Lady,” “Same Time, Next Year,” “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” and “The Drowsy Chaperone.”
Tickets for this one night only performance on Saturday, November 24th are available through Brown Paper Tickets as well as at the door. Tickets are $10 adult and $5 of children/students. 4th Street Theater is located at 125 N. Fourth Street in Chesterton, Indiana. Bring the family and begin your holiday season with this timeless classic.

    Directed by Justin Treasure
Set in the Bronx NY, this iconic play, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Shanley collides us with two of society's beautiful, yet dysfunctional city misfits. After a chance encounter in a forgotten bar, their defenses dissolve and a spontaneous night of heart thumping confession, love and chaos unfolds. With no easy way out, both are forced to dive deep in order to find a forgiveness that offers the rare chance of a more hopeful future. This is an explosive, deeply affecting play exploring the issues of personal alienation and the redemptive power of love.
