YES AND! Using Improv In Remote Teaching

Having a hard time engaging students in E-Learning? Learn how to utilize the principles of ‘Yes And” to bring energy to your online class meetings and lessons! Teachers will learn games and strategies that they can easily add to current academic and social-emotional lessons. This workshop is appropriate for teachers in grades 3-8. Ways to differentiate for grade level, ability level, and the content will be provided.

About the presenter: Kate Wiersema has been a Special Education teacher for the past ten years and has experience in second through eighth grade. She has a Master’s Degree from Concordia University in Differentiated Instruction. Kate has studied at Comedy Sportz Chicago and is a graduate of the Second City Music Program. She has performed, taught, and coached improv for children and adults in the Chicagoland area for the last ten years.

    Cosmic Bowling Fundraiser
    Come and support Regional Performing Arts with fun for the whole family! Join us for Cosmic Bowling at Hobart Lanes on October 8 from 3-5. Single admission is $15, or reserve an entire lane (up to five bowlers) for $60. Admission includes two hours of cosmic bowling and shoe rental.
