DEFINITION:

An Annual Fund is a coordinated, concentrated effort on the part of the organization to plan one major, professional effort producing better results than many small campaigns or efforts.

The Annual Fund solicits gifts every year from all organization constituencies.
-
The monies raised are typically unrestricted – to fund the organizations mission, strategic goals, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
PURPOSE

Involves people in your organization and its mission

Enables your organization to state it case to the marketplace

Educates donors re: mission, goals & needs

Enables your organization to broaden it’s base of support
-
Encourages to donors to adopt an annual giving habit
GOAL ( one formula)

Lead gift = 10% of overall goal
-
Two gifts = 5% of overall goal
-
Top ten to twelve = 33% of overall goal
-
Next XX gifts = 33% of overall goal
-
Many small gifts = 33% of overall goal
THE OFFER
